- Background
- I first came to Marco Island in 1984 on vacation and like so many others fell instantly in love with the area. I moved to Marco in 1987 became a Scuba Diving instructor and opened a full service retail Dive Shop called Aqua Adventures. I have logged over 1000 dives offshore of Marco Island, which gives me unique perspective of all the wrecks artificial reefs and natural reefs in the area. I have always been a avid fisherman so it was a easy decision to start running some fishing charters to keep the boat busy over time the fishing charters took over and here I am 30 years later.
- Techniques
- I use multiple styles and techniques to catch fish. Jig fishing on lite spinning tackle is my favorite method to catch fish. Nothing like bouncing a jig and battling a big fish hooked while jigging on lite tackle. For the big grouper I also use conventional reels and a medium rod to bring the big ones to the surface. What you will receive is 25+ years of experience and what comes with that is a captain who is ready for whatever the trip may require to catch.
