- Captain Scott is a third-generation "Kent Islander" and charter boat captain. He grew up fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay as well as working on the water with his grandfather and later on his own as a commercial crabber. Captain Scott has been a USCG licensed captain since 2004 and has operated charter boats in Massachusetts, Florida, and the Chesapeake Bay.
- Techniques
- All necessary fishing gear and bait are provided by your crew. There are three types of fishing in the Chesapeake, the first being trolling, the second light tackle fishing, the third being bottom fishing. Aboard the Nancy Ellen, the crew chooses the technique based on the time of the year. Its two preferred methods are bottom fishing and light tackle fishing. Captain Scott believes the light tackle live-line fishing gives every angler a more gratifying experience. However, he prefers trolling during the spring trophy season while targeting larger migrating Striped Bass.
