Background: Grew up fishing from the age of 3 with my grandfather. From the age of 5 started salmon fishing here in Oregon with my dad from the bank in Tillamook and Nehalem. Then got a small boat and started trolling the bays for salmon from the age of 12.
Techniques: Love trolling Tillamook and Nehalem bays in the fall for fall chinook and coho salmon. And casting spinners when the timing is right. I have over 20 years of experience fishing those two bays and am very successful in those two fisheries. I spend Winter steelhead season in Tillamook or inland on the Sandy River. Then come Spring time I hit the waters of the Willamette River in the Portland Area..

We went out fishing with Captain Austin, and although the fish just weren’t biting that day (not just us—other boats were coming up empty too), Austin put us right where the fish should’ve been. Austin was prepared, helpful and very knowledgable! We hooked a Salmon within the first hour but lost it near the boat, came home with 5 crab. Will be returning! Highly reccomend.
