Captain Nacho is the best fishing charter captainI’ve ever met and I’ve done quite a few charters. He’s such a nice person that you feel like you’ve known him for years, which makes the entire trip so enjoyable. He’s very good at English, which I was important to us since we don’t know any Spanish. We were out for four hours and caught 10 beautiful Amberjacks, two of them were massive (All of them were very nice fish). He even lined up with the local restaurant for them to cook up one of our fish so we can eat it right after the Charter! This man is a true master of his craft, he makes it seem so easy, even though he has so much going on, and he never gets stressed about it. He had us helping him, which was even more fun, this ended up being the highlight of our whole trip! I would highly highly recommend Captain Nacho you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back and do it again. I told a coworker and she booked a trip immediately (I’m jealous already). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing day - Captain Nacho was a rock star. When I got to the boat the. Air was ready and so were the lines.  We went a short distance off shore and by sunlight we were catching fish. We were fishing around a wreck so captain Nacho was ready with leader already set up and plenty of boat. The setting was amazing. The drive to the boat was about 20-25 minutes from Barcelona and plenty of parking.  We caught 7 amberjack - one monster and 6 great fish. Back at the dock Nacho cleaned the fish and a local
Restaurant was ready to cook them up for us.  Nacho and I along with his son as first mate had a great time and celebrated with each fish. 
Also it’s important to note that Nacho was a pro and his hospitality made me feel more connected to the area.

Xavi and KJ were fantastic guides. Within 45 minutes of leaving the marina, we were catching fish (4 sea bream on 1 line!). We fished for sea bream and mackerel for about 90 minutes (and caught too many to count). Then we went trolling for tuna and caught 2 Albacore tuna at the same time (Xavi said that hadn’t happened to him in years).

Afterwards, KJ brought us and a bunch of the sea bream and Mackerel (Xavin kept the Albacore to sell off) to a local beach bar/restaurant where they cleaned and cooked the fish for us. Absolutely fantastic experience and certainly the highlight of our vacation.

After a warm and hearty greeting from captain Javi and KJ at the harbour, we went far out onto open sea were we started with trolling. Chances were good to get some little tunny, if we could locate them while they were on the hunt. As everyone knows, sometimes you need to be patient, but captain Javi had out fullest trust. It took us some time to find hunting fish, but when we did, we finally had our first strikes.
Unfortunatelly, we did not manage to hook them properly, but it was really spectactular seeing the tunny chase the little fish, while seagulls where hitting the surface to feed aswell.
Finally, it was just bad luck that after several strikes, we did not manage to properly hook and bring in our desired target fish. Hooks were sharp, found the hotspot, and the captain went far and beyond to find this honey hole. But we all know it, that‘s fishing… sometimes it‘s just not meant to be…
As we were already an hour over our booked time, captain Javi and KJ decided to make a last attempt to bring us a nice trophy fish. And then, suddenly all hell broke lose! One of the rods bent hard, and the reel started singing like a fat opera lady on steroids. Our pulses went bonkers, since we knew we had hooked something big. I had a hard and long drill, and as the fish finally came up to the surface, we were all in complete awe to see that it was an imperial swordfish!!! What a freaking beauty! I brought it carefully to side of the boat where captain Javi was ready with a huge landing net. But the fish had other plans. In a last attempt, it tried to make a last run, and one of the free dangling trebles got caught in the net. The headshakes were so hard and powerful, that it managed to break the hardbait, bend the hooks straight (high quality Owner hooks) and escape…
Oh man, what a downer, we all couldn‘t believe what just had happened… BUT: like i said before, that‘s fishing, and maybe that day, it just wasn‘t meant to be.
After a few moments of disapointment, we were able to just be grateful to even have seen such an amazing fish (amongst other beautiful scenes, like a big sunfish cruising at the surface close to the boat). Next time, we will take them all!

To finish off the day, we took a slow drift over a plateau for some „fun fishing“ with jigging and bottom fishing, where we caught a lot of smaller fish in all varieties. I need to emphasize that this was already nearly two hours later than what we had paid for! So great respect to the captain and his first mate for sacrificing their sunday time and doing everything they could to provide us with the best fishing experience possible.

All in all, captain Javi and KJ are THE crew you want to hire if you want to have the most competent and BEST fishing trip in Barcelona. Thank you guys, we will meet again!

I chartered the Boat Captained by Nacho and his Brother Alex along with Senior Kurt, all of them were welcoming and warm! Thye had big smiles that went along with Big Hearts for tourists like me. The whole trip was fantastic as they served their version of breakfast and coupled with beer and wine ( which i do not drink haha) and soft drinks.Both Nacho and Alex were hard working getting bait for the trip and looked after those who do not know how to fish and taught along as they went! Their Patience and Enthusiasm was super contagious!! We missed a massive TUNA but they were encouraging and did not have Give Up Spirit, instead we rehooked and went after the fishes!!! All in All it was a super pleasent trip of friends from a new country and the passion of like minded fishermen !! We were invited back again to fish with them too !!! AWESOME BOAT CREW you have to try to know what i have experienced !!! Kudos to the team !!! World Class Chaps !!! ❤️❤️❤️
