We booked an all day trip. The weather was perfect and the captain knew what he was doing. We caught the first fish within 5 minutes after we made it to the first spot. And we had to head in by 12 4 hrs early because we had already caught so many big fish we ran out of cooler space. Would definitely recommend this charter for anyone who wants to have a great time.

Captain John and first mate Kaylee was wonderful even though the fish were not biting as good as we would have liked. They kept trying. We did get to see amazing show of dolphins This is our fourth year out with captain John and usually he can get us on the fish. Just remember in fishing you don’t alway get the big ones. John was incredible! He gave us a front-row view of a massive pod of dolphins, followed by an exciting frenzy of mahi. What stood out even more was how kind and patient he was with my special needs children—he didn’t miss a beat and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. Highly recommend!.

The bite was slow all week when we went out, but we did manage few fish in the morning.  Captian John put us on a ton of fish all day and worked hard to scrape up a few.  Saw several dolphins and the kids had a great time.  Looking forward to booking a trip with Salty Charters again next year.

Captain John and his daughter were amazing on our trip. They know where the big fish live in the Outer Banks! Wish we could have caught more fish but just another chance to book another trip! Definitely do business with Captain John, you’ll have a great time!
