We had a slow start after almost catching a mackerel, then didn’t catch anything for 2 1/2 hours. In the last hour, we caught two amberjack about 10 pounds each which made for some challenging but a fun final finish to the trip. Captain crew did a solid job.

Great captain, great first mate

I am so impressed with the professionalism, enthusiasm, and capability of this crew! We spent a full day fishing with Oscar, Jorge and Zachary and it was an absolute blast. As a former charter Captain, I can tell you without a doubt that Oscar takes pride in his operation and gives 100% to ensure his clients have an excellent day on the water. From catching bait to “never quitting” despite slow fishing, this crew kept spirits high and pushed until the last minute to put us on fish. While our target species eluded us, we did catch two fat pacific snook and a variety of other “entertaining” species. Oscar and Jorge kept fresh bait in the water at all times and covered a multitude of spots to maximize our chances - we fished the beaches, rock piles, bait balls, and the surf break during our trip, which certainly took some maneuvering! Oscar is absolutely an expert when it comes to the techniques, rigging, and live bait catching needed to dominate the inshore scene off Quepos. While the fishing was slow for us, I wouldn’t hesitate to fish with this crew on the next venture. Best of the best!
