Justin was a great captain and kept us on fish all day long.  He shared his knowledge of the lake, the various species of fish we were after (and caught), mixing it all with conversation of family, what else we could do around the lake, and where we might grab a beer and bite to eat. Morning fish (8-10 boated; released) included youngest fisherman (12) reeling in a 13.5 lb blue catfish.  A 2.5 lb bass topped the various bass we caught. Being on a boat in the middle of a lake with a complete stranger sounds a little intimidating, but Captain Justin was a different story! Super welcoming and friendly from the start to the finish. Even better, has excellent communication skills, which is hard to come by nowadays! Caught a bunch of fish, which he could guess before we even pulled them out of the water. Pretty impressive. Overall I give it an A+ and would highly recommend going. Totally worth it and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We went for a half-day morning trip. It was a dad and sons get together before college and high school starts. We got there early, the captain was there early. We were on fish 10 minutes after the boat stopped and bait was in the water. Everyone caught fish in the first half of the morning and when the bite slowed, our captain pivoted to different tactics in a different area. By the time the boat stopped at the next spot, we were on fish in another 10 minutes. But it was a very successful trip.... Meer

My two grandsons and I had an incredibly wonderful time fishing with Captain Justin on Lake Norman. Xavier (7) had never been fishing before. On his first cast, he caught a huge striper bass! Grandson Cayden (13) caught about a dozen fish, some quite large. Over four hours, in all we reeled in about thirty fish. Fantastic! The kids were elated.
