First said, you won’t find a more skilled Captain than Ryan.  His 12 yr charter experience and knowledge of the area was incredible.  We started at 7:00 AM attempting to go about 5 miles off shore,  the winds did not cooperate. Half way out to the destination, Captain Ryan stopped and made that we knew the conditions we were heading into.  He let us make a call if we wanted to fish in such a tough environment.  We decided to go near shore instead and eventually hooked three sharks before we land 4 monster redfish.  It was a slow day on the water, however Captain Ryan found the fish.  He was a great charter and if and when I am back in Charleston he would get my charter again!!!!  Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing day on the water! Two tosses of the cast nets filled us up with plenty of bait and after a short run we were immediately on fish. Capt. Ryan knows the waters and the fish and he went above and beyond to help us fill the iceboxes with plenty of snapper and grouper The captain is friendly, passionate about fishing, and a super fun person to spend to spend some time in the water with.
Ryan also communicated throughout the week the various options we had with the tides and weather and although it was too choppy to go with our original plan of trolling offshore, in the end, I am glad we followed his advice for an unforgettable nearshore trip.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable and fun guide, he is definitely the person to go with!!!

Wow! Today was an amazing day! I took my two sons 10 and eight on a fishing trip with R J and his boat. It was one of the first times fishing for my boys and we all had one of the most incredible experiences ever! We caught a bunch of fish including Amber Jack’s grouper and a cobia that got away at the last second! R J was awesome and accommodating and made the inexperience one of the most fun and exciting trips ever! Will 100% do this again!  The boat was clean and well-stocked with bait as well as rods and R J knew all the spots of where to go to catch the fish. We couldn’t of asked for a better experience and can’t wait to do it again! Thanks R J for incredible time! See u next year!

We book a fishing trip every year on our family vacation, and this offshore trip was hands down the best one we’ve had. Captain Ryan is an all-star guide and is fun to be around. Not only is he an extremely knowledgeable angler, but it’s obvious that fishing is a passion.

The boat and equipment are top notch and everyone was comfortable from beginning to end. We went roughly 30 miles offshore and caught our limit in cobia, some vermillion snapper, trigger fish, sea bass, and even a king fish. We were able to stock the freezer and lower our grocery bill for the week.

Captain Ryan will no doubt be one of your favorite fishing guides. It would be very hard to book someone else in the Charleston area after the experience we had. You won’t be disappointed.

RJ is fantastic, wonderful communication leading up to our trip, giving us updates on weather and water conditions prior to even leaving the dock.  This was a trip with my soon to be 16 year old son and our first time offshore.  RJ made sure we had a wonderful time and as mentioned above, great communication of where we were headed and what to expect.  My son and I had a great time thanks to RJ and he was able to check off a few new fish on his list and as an unexpected bonus we even had a tiger shark swim by the boat!  So thank you again for everything RJ and I wouldn’t hesitate a second to book you again for our next trip.
