We come down to Galveston at least once a year and this is our first year booking a charter fishing trip it was above all expectations the captain was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable and made the experience that much more amazing. We caught our maximum on trout. We hooked some jack which we weren’t even fishing for and even caught some red took us to four different spots, and we were catching fish at all four spots if I could have given more than five stars, I would have if you’re planning a trip and want a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend ocean outlaw fishing worth every penny.

I booked a 5 hour jetty trip with my 16 year old son and my father in law.  Captain Rex brought us to a verified hot spot and we slammed tons of sheephead and even snagged a big redfish!  The captain had lots of shrimp, fast boat, extensive knowledge of fishing techniques making the whole trip a success! He even extended the trip so we could have an opportunity to snag a big drum or a shark!  He even had some of his friends help filet our catch since we all caught our limit. We will definitely look up captain Rex for any future fishing trips!  HIGHLY recommend Captain Rex and Ocean Outlaws!

Our planned trip was going to be on Wednesday, during spring break. Rex called me Saturday to see if we were flexible on the date, as he was concerned about the weather.  Rex said that Monday was looking like the better day and would keep the date open for us if we were available. I’m glad that they were able to move us , because our original date turned out to be pretty windy. Many points for that!
Our kids, ages 9-17, the oldest (our only daughter) kicked butt. She caught a small shark and the biggest black drum. The wife caught the second biggest drum.

We went out to the end of the jetty to get some sheepshead? We were there among several other boats and we were kicking butt, caught 17 and a few toad fish.
The boat was plenty roomy for 4 kids and their parents and the bean bags were a nice touch for the kids to rest on.
The closed restroom was good for the ladies. (One of the reasons for choosing Outlaw Charters)
It was an awesome time with the family and the highlight of our spring break vacation.
Captain Rex did a GREAT job and I can’t thank him enough.

Our group had a great time. The weather was a little questionable but Captain Rex’s positive attitude and enthusiasm made the trip unforgettable. He kept the energy high, navigated us through the best spots, and ensured we had a fantastic experience despite the unpredictable weather. Looking to do another trip with this charter real soon. Had a blast on our charter.  Did the bayside/jetty trip and caught lots of sheepshead and a few giant Reds.  Rex was fun and knowledgeable and always kept the lines in the water. There was no rush off the water and even with two kids there was no concern about them being able to do their own fishing. Worth every penny and would recommend.
