- I am one of the lucky few to have grown up here on Amelia Island, fishing and shrimping the surrounding waters my entire life. Whether it's float fishing way back up in the oyster bed flats, bottom fishing around the inlets and jetty rocks, or live bait slow trolling out on the reefs, I know these waters very well. I earned my first captains license in 1992, and I have been taking friends, families, and small groups fishing ever since. I have watched small kids grow up into adults, seeing them only one or two weeks a year on their vacations. Kind of neat! Come aboard, you'll see why most of the people who fish with me keep coming year after year.
- Techniques
- My favorite way to fish is anchoring the boat and fishing right on the bottom with fresh crab, shrimp, and fish for bait.
