- Looking for a charter can be difficult especially when there are so many to choose from. Look no further and book with Pro Fish ‘n Sea Charters and spend a morning or afternoon on beautiful Lake Michigan with captain Josh Metiva. Josh has been fishing all over Lake Michigan for 2 decades. There is ample space for up to 6 anglers on board - beginners, experienced and kids. There is a spacious cabin for the ride out along with a refrigerator for your beverages and snacks you bring along. You might be wondering if you can bring alcohol -- yes you can, Josh just asks that you don't bring any glass containers. Things you should bring along for your trip: A cooler and ice for your catch (Captain Josh will clean and bag your catch once you get back from your fishing adventure), sweatshirt, rain jacket and non-marking shoes like “fishing” boots or tennis shoes. No work boots please!! From May-September you can expect to catch King Salmon, Coho, Lake Trout and Steelhead. Use of all tackle, rods and reels are included in the price of the trip, all you need to do is buy a fishing license which can be done on the Michigan DNR website or purchased at any sporting goods store. - Techniques
- When targeting Kings, Lake Trout, Steelhead and Walleye, I troll using downriggers to get the baits low, dipsy divers to go to the sides and back of boat, and planer boats to spread the baits further to the sides of the boat. Use a combination of spoons, spin-n-glo's and body baits.
