- Growing up, the captain's dad was a sponsored professional fisherman. The captain got to pre-fish travel and meet all the old-time pros, not to mention hang out with his dad. The captain grew up with very few electronics on a beautiful Champion 186. Now he has Livescope, 3 Garmins, and a Ranger Z20 to help find the fish. The captain's family likes to come out and catch them too! If they aren't playing ball in the spring, they're pulling Bass off the beds and putting 'em right back to nest!
- Techniques
- Growing up in the Ozarks, you have several different bodies of water to fish. The captain prefers the cleaner water using finesse or jerkbait style techniques to target offshore, less pressured fish. It's also a lot of fun to watch Smallmouth destroy a bait! Livescope with the proper settings helps greatly with these techniques. The captain has gotten to the point where he wastes little time fishing "dead" water.
