He's worked as the manager of the Murrells Inlet Outpost for several years and then as a full-time mate. Technieken: The captain basically enjoys all styles of fishing, including live bait trolling, dead bait trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, anything that is productive. His favorite two types of fishing would have to be trolling dead ballyhoo for Wahoo and live bait Grouper fishing.

The gulfstream fishing is excellent right now, just this past Thursday we had a dozen mahi, several blackfin snapper, spotted scorpionfish, strawberry grouper, vermillion snapper, porgies, and more. We also hooked up on a marlin when it ate one of our mahi right behind the boat. Don't miss out on some of the best fishing of the year, book your gulfstream trip today!

Plenty of action in the Gulfstream

Gulfstream trips have been very productive throughout February and will continue heating up throughout the month of March. March is the best time of the year for a chance at really big wahoo and can also be excellent for tunas, triggerfish, snapper, black sea bass, and more. We have also been seeing some nice sailfish as well.

We had an amazing time. We caught a variety of fish, 2 bull sharks 5-6ft long, and got to see a school of dolphins swim right by the boat…not to mention the beautiful boat ride. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the day Can’t wait to come back and do it again.

Matt really did an outstanding job. We did a 6 hour charter, he took us about 30-35 miles out in roughly 80’-90’ of water, and we caught loads of fish including porgy, grunt, snapper, and grouper. I caught a large nurse shark as well.
