- Captain Leif was born and raised in Florida. His passion for fishing began as a young boy when he spent much of his time in Angelo and Son's Seafood Restaurant in Panacea. He started fishing off of the back deck of the restaurant and hasn't stopped fishing since. Capt. Leif works as a professional fisherman and competes in tournaments from time to time, where he has experienced great success. He now offers guided fishing trips through Viking Coastal Charters, from the Econfina River and St. Marks to Ochlockonee Bay. He says, "I love being on the water and putting somebody on their first fish, or even their best fish."
- Techniques
- Drifting for Speckled Trout, pole fishing for Reds, throwing spoons and topwater plugs or soft plastics, live pinfish or a fake eel for Cobia. Sometimes we sit under the bridge with Blue Crab and catch giant Drum and Bull Reds. During the heat of the summer, we catch Speckled Trout and White Trout on the nearshore reefs by jigging.
