- I am a native of Dare County and have been fishing since I was a young boy in Manns Harbor. I fished primarily in the Croatan Sound in small skiffs when I was a little boy and had my first paying job in the commercial fishing industry at age 15. My commercial work in the sounds of Dare County includes crabbing, shrimping, and gill net fishing. Offshore, I have worked on commercial longline boats catching primarily tuna and swordfish. Being on the waters of the of dare county is where I am most comfortable and very happy, especially with a fishing pole in my hand. I have a great respect for nature and the coastal environment where I work and spend time with my family and have spent my whole entire life.
- Technieken
- My fishing techniques depend on the species we are targeting. I use standard blue crab pots, 20-foot shrimp nets, trolling rods, light tackle, fresh cut bait, artificial grubs.
