My buddy and I had a great time for 6hrs inshore fishing with Capt. Mike on the last day of April 2024. Capt. Mike took the time before our trip to catch fresh bait fish for us and got us on Trout, Snook, Jack, and Red fish that day. We had a great day catching these species for the first time. Capt. Mike knew all the hot spots and got us on fish right a way. Boat and equipment was nice and fish cleaning afterwards was nice. Everything we were looking for on this trip. Only if my buddy could of laned that large Snook at the end of the trip. As they always said: “That big one got away!”

The trip was great!  Started with Captain Michael arriving 15 minutes early.  Communicated with us to let us know exactly where he was.  His boat was clean and meticulously maintained.  As we went out to the first fishing hole, Captain Michael pointed out various landmarks and gave us a good rundown of the history of the seaside towns.  Upon arrival at the first spot, he got us fishing and within few minutes we were catching a variety of different fish.  He told us about each of the species and kept us catching Ladyfish, Spanish Mackerels, and Blue Fins.  However this was a shark trip and after about 30 minutes we moved to a different spot.  Shortly upon arrival, we hooked into the first of 2 very large (300+ lb) sharks.  Captain Michael was skilled in giving us instructions to reel these 2 massive fish next to the boat.  Once we were able to get pictures, he humanely released them.  We then enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the Gulf, and returned to the dock with great memories and a new respect for the sea creatures that inhabit that area. 

Overall, a great trip and one we would do again in a heart beat!!!

We’ve always wanted to fish in the gulf and this trip did not disappoint!  Michael was very knowledge and so helpful.  We hooked a shark the first fifteen minutes of our lines in the water.  He made the day so fun for my 6yr old too and she was so happy to catch her first fish.  She can’t wait to go again.  My son hooked atleast seven sharks.  Such a fun day and we will definately book with captain Michael again.  His boat was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.  We can’t wait to do it again.  Highly recommend his charter!

We were so impressed by our choice of a fishing outing. Captain Mike was so experienced with the surrounding areas and was very excited to share his knowledge of all the areas and fish available at each location. We enjoyed his sharing of each area’s fish to be caugh and his recommendation of the way to present the bait which provided a fantastic experience for each of us. We were in Holiday visiting family members and booked a 4-hour inshore trip with captain Mike Dawson.  We had a blast and caught a load of fish.  Captain found fish despite some challenging winds and helped us out when needed.  We caught Redfish, trout, Jack Crevallle and a catfish.  As a bonus, we also caught a 7 foot bull shark!  Mike was knowledgeable, personable and a pleasure to fish with.  I’d highly recommend him and when we come back down to FL we will absolutely book another trip with him!
