I have been fishing with Bear King on Lake Michigan for several years, bringing my friends and business clients.  Every trip we have caught a variety of fish including many of the biggest Lake Trout I have ever seen!  Thank you Bear King for your many years of quality guide services!!

It was the month of September in Waukegan and we hired Bear King Fishing and Captain Dave for 4 of us. Experienced an absolute perfect day. A smooth and safe ride and plenty of biting fish! Capt. Dave has all the right gear and it is all well maintained. The boat fishes well and we had plenty of room to work. Capt. Dave fishes hard and is passionate about what he does. He never stopped rigging, changing lures, and coaching us to make the day perfect. The fish came over the rail all day! We had some really good laker fishing and we had an awesome trip and limits to take home. I will be back and can’t wait to do it again. We have always fished in Milwaukee and Kenosha and this was my first time in Waukegan. Really a nice marina and the boardwalk and jetty area is worth taking the time to visit. We threw spoons off the jetty the night before and caught 2 kings in the harbor! A good warmup for the trip the next morning with Bear King.  It was the best weekend. Thanks Captain Dave! We had a blast with Captain David. Probably one of the hottest days of this summer and he knew exactly where the fish were hiding. Very friendly, highly knowledgeable and the boat has everything you need. We made some new memories. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.

Each year my buddies and I go fishing, we always pick Capitan Dave and Bear King Fishing.  Bear King Fishing is second to none, its a blast out on the water and The Bear King knows the hot spots like the back of his hand, as Billy Bob from Varsity blues would say, 10!

My friends and I moved to Chicago 10 years ago and we really wanted to fish on lake michigan. By some miracle, we found Captain Dave and the rest is history! He is not only our captain but he has now became part of our annual tradition! I cannot recommend him enough.
