The crew was great. We were worried about sea sickness given our history and fact that boys had never experienced this kind of fishing. Crew knew fishing would be better farther out but let us try nearer to shore initially. Slowly moved out deeper and kids had no issues and … we got on fish! This shows me that the crew (1) respected what we wanted out of the experience and (2) knew where and how to fish the area. Very satisfied.

what a fun time i had with my teen boys- the captain and crew were very friendly and responsive to all our needs and desires.  they helped us catch the big fish we were looking for (including a 49” barracuda for the wall). When we felt queasy towards the end they took us to the shore of Isla Mujeres for a nice cool swim and then gave us fresh ceviche to eat on the prow during the cruise back to Cancun. Highly recommend! Note- when you arrive at Las Perlas marina, you walk around back of the hotel to the small beach.  Chartiers operation runs out of the dock on the left as you face the sea.

I booked the transportation round trip with them as well which was perfect, was greeted by the captain as we arrived which was really great.
The two deckhands & capt kicked ass and fished hard all day.

After catching the live bait we started trolling but nothing but bonito coming over the rail. So we started bottom fishing and that’s where it was at for us, huge barracuda caught, Snapper and grouper aswell. Turned the grouper into ceviche on the boat which was the best! If you haven’t had red snapper or grouper, it’s honestly some of the best fish to eat. Gave the cudas to the crew to give away to local/friends.

Would definitely recommend this boat!

My only complaint about this trip was the water was a little rough after storms the previous few days.

Everything else that the captain, crew, and charter company could control was PERFECT!

The boat was organized and offered plenty of space for our group of 10 (five adults and five kids ages 4-11). The drinks were cold, the boxed lunches they provided were much nicer than we were expecting, and we had plenty of leftovers to snack on throughout the day. The fishing was a blast and everyone was worn out by the end of the day. The ceviche the crew made with a Mahi and Red Snapper we caught was delicious!

What stood out more than anything was how hard the crew worked to make sure we had a good time. They were moving non-stop to ensure everything was perfect and they were so patient with the young kids as they worked to reel in fish after fish. We happened to anchor near the boat near a shipwreck while we were on a catamaran cruise a few days later and the same crew was working just as hard to keep another group happy while they snorkeled.

I’d definitely recommend booking a trip on La Patrona!

I was booking this trip for my friend’s bachelor party and could not have asked for a better experience. Jorge was super communicative and helpful in the days leading up to coordinate details of our trip - from transportation to and from our hotel to snack, drinks and lunch. Captain Miguel with Arturo and Large made the trip excellent - we left with a lot of tuna that we caught and were able to eat for dinner and all the guys had an excellent time as the fish started coming in and we left with 5 blackfin tuna and 2 rainbow runners. If I’m ever down in Cancun again I would be happy to book with them again and would recommend them for anyone looking to have a great time out on the water.
