- Captain Ian Jones has been fishing since he was a young child. Growing up just 2 minutes from the Thames River and 10 minutes from Lake St. Clair gave him the opportunity to master the waters. Ian fished for Carp and Catfish, always surprising himself with how he could put a hook, line, and sinker down to catch a fish. When he was a teenager, he would fish 2 or 3 times a week, always searching for new spots and bigger fish. Ian moved to Lac Seul in northern Ontario and began his fishing career in 2013. Learning a new lake only fueled his passion. After a very successful season, Ian moved back to Lake St. Clair to pursue his dream to guide professionally. Fishing never gets boring to Ian, and it’s always a great challenge to consistently produce fish.
