Background: I was brought up on boats my whole life here in Clearwater. From when I saw my first commercial fishing boat I knew exactly what I wanted to do... fish for a living. My fishing career started immediately after high school when I got a job as a deckhand on one of the head boats out of Clearwater Municipal Marina. I had my sights set on being captain as soon as I started, and it didn't take long. As soon as I had enough time for my 100 ton masters captains license, I took the courses and got it. I started running the head boat at 21 years old and loved it. After gaining the fishing knowledge and the overall experience of running a 90 passenger head boat for a few years, I decided it was time to start my own charter boat operation. I like the more personalized fishing experience of a six passenger vessel and I like having the speed to be able to get to the more fertile fishing grounds in an efficient manner. I have a true passion for what I do and I love catching fish!

We have been getting in to some nice hogfish on our 4hr and 6hr trips. The hogfish are one of the best eating fish in the Gulf of Mexico and are a lot of fun to catch.

3/4 Day Trip

The description for the 6hr trip was “This trip will see fishing up to 40 miles for the likes of Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Hogfish, Kingfish, Amberjack, and even Blackfin Tuna.” but they did not even take us out 20 miles they said to go out further would have to be a longer trip. Very frustrating and then they spent the first hour fishing themselves toward a loose bouy and didn’t even offer to let the boys try fishing there.

I’m sorry you were not pleased with your experience. I have already taken care of the “trip description.” Fishing Booker writes the description, not me, I can’t even edit it myself I have to send in a request to change it. I should have paid closer attention to the descriptions they had written for the trips, that is my fault, the 3/4 day trip does not go out 40 miles. I was under the impression the boys and everyone else had a good time on the trip, I am sorry to find out that you did not. I even went over a quick plan for the fishing trip that everybody agreed on before we even left the dock, if there was any confusion I wish you would have brought that up to me then and we could have taken care of it. Again I am sorry and hope you understand. Hope you guys enjoyed the fish.
