- Hi, I am Captain Roland Alford I grew up in the Sarstoon area; which is the river that divides Belize and Guatemala, however, I am a born Belizean. From a very young age, I was introduced to fishing by my father who taught me to be optimistic, hardworking, and humble at the same time. This was 30 years ago. My father was a fisherman and a hunter and that’s what I inherited from him. While growing up I got convinced that sports fishing was what I wanted to do for a living. I have worked with the Belize Fisheries Department and marine NGO’S which gave me the opportunity to learn the Belize Fishing Laws. However, the pace was too slow for me — I wanted to feel on top of the life. Thus, I was inspired by something more fun. I decided to venture into deep sea sports fishing and go for the big game fish such as the Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi — Also, bottom fishing for species such as Groupers, Queen Snappers, Champagne Snappers, Amber Jacks, and more. I have about 15 years in the tourism industry. I worked with several companies over the recent years, however, a year ago I decided to pursue my own business — something that I can manage and grow. Along with my girlfriend, Nancy Aguilar, who has helped me with this dream to come true — I also introduce her to fishing. Nancy is very efficient in areas in which I need help. Our main objective is to make you, our guests, have the best fishing experience in our jewel country of Belize.
