Being born and raised on the Shores of Lake Erie has blessed me with the chance to spend thousands of hours out on this beautiful body of water I call Home. My walleye fishing obsession started as a young kid when my dad and uncles would take me out with them anytime the weather would permit, casting Golden Nuggets and Erie Dearies to bag our walleye. I was away from Lake Erie for four years as I followed in my father's footsteps, serving our country in the United States Army. During my Army years, I fished anytime and anywhere I got a chance. After my time in the Army, I headed back home to Lake Erie. Let’s make this upcoming Lake Erie fishing trip the most memorable fishing trip ever!
Techniques
Trolling is my most favored technique but vertical jigging on and around the reef complex is just as fun.

We have run multiple trips out of huron and mazuriks in Marblehead with great catches every trip. The bite is getting better by the day. We no longer have to run offshore the dreaded 23 mile just to get into fish. Some days the fish run smaller and some days the fish run bigger but all in all we have been putting fish in the boat eveytrip unless mother nature with her winds decide to cancel us out for the day.

The bite on lake erie has been outstanding!! My last 10 trips or so have yielded limits every time. As long as the winds play nice, we are catching! Some days are absolutely fast and furiuos and others are a bit slow. Size ranges anywhere from 15inches to 26.5 inches. Im thinking this has been the best year in a long time for numbers of fish and multiple fish pushing the 8-9lb class. OUTSTANDING!!!! FISHERY!!!

We have been doing fantastic!! Limits of walleye almost daily. Yesterday afternoon was a little above average for the folks from Columbus. We made a run away from all the boat traffic and it paid off. Doug and Tina got to box a nice cooler of 20-24" walleye. The next few days are looking bad wind wise but it'll straighten back out.
