Cold water equals hot bite! Water temps have dropped to low 50’s and the fish a feeding hard. The live bait and dead stick bite is going hard. This time of year you can expect bigger fish and good number. There will also be a few jumbo whitebass mixed in…it doesn’t get much better. Dont let the cooler weather keep you from enjoying a day of catching!

The fall bite has been on fire! We are catching fish on livebait and slabbing spoons. As the water temps fall it will keep gettig better!

The dog days of summer has hit but so has the topwater bite! Know that the lake has settled after the spring time floods the fishing has caught fire. The best bite is on artificials suchs as topwater action early then swimbaits off shallow points along with trolling shallow flats. I expect this bite to stay lights out for the month of August so don’t hesitate to jump on it!

The best time to have a chance of a trophy fish is January through March when the water is really cold. The big arctic front that is blowing through as we speak should kick start this bite. We mainly use 2 techniques which are dead sticking flukes and trolling umbrella rigs. Dead sticking is an addictive bite...you have to love the quick thump! Trolling umbrella rigs with 9 swimbaits around river edges and shallow flats is a good way to stir up big fish that are sitting on bottom. Give me a call and let's go fishing!

Water temps have finally dropped down into the upper 50's and the bite has picked up even better! The fish are hungry and moving to deeper water. This last trip we had a limit of 60 quality fish and then released several more. This was all in a 2 1/2 hour time period! It doesn't get much better. I am currently running live bait trips but the dead sticking and trolling season is close.

This past week we had 2 cold fronts move through the area. This dropped our water temps down from 75 to the upper 60's and also brought in the birds. The fish are fired up and feeding aggressively and the birds are out showing us the way. If you can find a flock of birds circling and diving, it's a guarantee that there are stripers around. Over the weekend we were able to fill easy limits of really good quality box fish. This is a great time to book your trip!
