This was our first charter with my two sons, and I was really hoping to hook into a big fish. The bite started off slow, and for the first few hours we only managed some small perch and catfish—mostly bait-sized fish. But the captain didn’t give up. He made the call to move us to a completely different spot and even offered to stay out longer so we’d have a better chance. That decision paid off! My son(18) , nephew(12) and I had a wonderful morning out with Joe. He was easy to communicate with leading up to the trip and gave detailed instructions of where to meet him. Joe has been fishing this area for a long time and really knows where to go to find the fish. We caught a LOT of perch(small guys, fun to catch) and a few little catfish but the keepers were evading us all morning. Had a great time fishing with Captain Joe.  He was very knowledgeable about the chesapeake Bay and gave us lots of history about the area.  We caught 3 striped bass, saw bald eagles, ducks and cormorants.  Book with Bay Raiders Outfitters and have a great time fishing with Captain Joe.

Captain Joe provided us with a trip we will most certainly remember. He was on the fish throughout our trip, 30+ catfish on a 4 hour trip, awesome is the best word to describe it. When we left my wife asked the boys scale of 1 to 10 how was the trip, 10’s from them and my wife and I. We will definitely be planning future trips with Captain Joe.
