What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico for the first time?

Until this trip I didn’t appreciate that inshore Vs off shore fishing should be determined by the weather. Heavy weather should be offshore as it brings pelagic fish to the surface, calmer weather should be inshore as it makes that easier (and off shore is not much of an option anyway)

Weather was beautiful, fish were hopping—the only thing that could have made it cooler is if we were fishing in whale season or mahi mahi season!

Poor catch. 3 barracudas and a shark in 5 hrs. Not enough ice in the cooler. The equipment was ok but it needed adjustment to work properly.

Fish slayers and capt Paul are top notch. Will be back. Reportedly Feb and March are peak fishing. Good time either way

Just ask what’s hitting this time of year. Apparently full moon doesn’t help w the fishing as they can feed fairly well night and day vs mostly day…

besides the wind- and change in la nina from el Nino and constant wind during this month, fish were still active

Yes. Without going too far away from the Marina, we were able to catch many species of fish
