What would you recommend to anglers fishing in St. James City, Florida for the first time?

I highly recommend booking with Captain Justin Williams, we caught so much fish and had a blast. Captain Justin asked us what we wanted to catch and took us to the hot spots, showed us fishing techniques and shared stories. He even described the surrounding, it was like we were on a tour and not just fishing. We saw dolpins and manatees. It was so fun, we are definitely booking again.

Lots of shark including smalltooth sawfish (has to be reported to FWC) so shark permit is a must along with shark gear.

Long winter tides make for slow moving water. Capt's can still find the fish, but feeding activity (action) greatly increases with speed of moving water.

SJC is a great location to book a charter. Very short ride to your first fishing spot. You won’t waste time riding in the boat.
