What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fort Morgan, Alabama for the first time?

Really enjoyed the nearshore fishing. We caught a lot of fish and had a good day on the water. Can’t wait until next time.

Ensure the species you want to catch are open for keeping. Plenty of fish on the bite while we were here.

Great time, caught fish within the first 5 minutes. Nice weather, relaxing and exciting at the same time.

We didn’t even get to leave from Fort Morgan due to winds supposedly. Had to leave from the ICW in Gulf Shores.

Maybe bring a change of clothes if you are going to dinner after! When fishing sometimes you get fish on you! Also be sure to have sunglasses on sunny days!

As with any fishing trip it’s always a gamble with the weather but ours turned out to be a great weather day and the fish cooperated also.

Be prepared for possible ruff water. Sea sickness medicine for those that suffer it is a must. But don’t let the ruff water deter you from going.

Make sure live bait is included. If not, carry your own. Bathroom important for mixed company as fishing rigs with other boats does not afford any privacy.

I cant really say as this was our first fishing trip & our experience was much less than what we were expecting.

Fishing was sort of slow for us, but that's why they call it fishing and not catching. I felt captain and crew dod a good job non the less. They kept adjusting until we got on some fish.

Booking with Captain Jason, we caught more fish on his boat in 2 hours than in a 4 hour trip on a previous charter boat! Highly recommended!!

Don’t get discouraged if it is going to storm. Wait it out and just go for it. Water was somewhat rough but our captain did great.

The weather is hit and miss but at least the temperature is not as hot as later months.

Spanish and sheepshead are spawning at this time of the season so they are easier to catch.

I had never fished this area in March and it was great catching a species I'd never caught before.

On the deep fish, be ready to reel fast! Fish were caught so fast there was never a break!

Bring lots of water and cover up. Long sleeves and pants. Wear a hat that protects your neck.

Define a must!! Even with the warm water temps here in August Captain Randy puts you on the meat!

Weather changes fast on the gulf so be prepared to be flexible with the weather.
