The transition from the near surface bite with stockbaits looks to be over. We are getting bit on 3 color leadcore all the way to 10 color leadcores amd even 300 light coppers. Spoons and flasher flies are taking fish. Riggers and dipsy are working well in the spread with longer leads off the downrigger balls and longer dipsy leaders. Looking forward to the mid summer bite! Fishing has remained relatively consistent on Superior, although inconsistent winds has had us chasing the surfave water temps, sometimes as far as 15 miles offshore. Fish have been in 46-49* surface temps in the top 20ft of the water column. Shallow stickbaits in pinks amd oranges as well as flasher fly combinations on dipsy divers and downriggers have been putting coho and lake trout in the box. The St Louis River harbor is still putting out good walleye wiich has provided some good action as well!

Had a great weekend full of trips with both repeat and new guests! Fishing the top 10-20ft of the water column with both flat lines and shallow diving crank baits as well as dipsy divers and downriggers with bright spoons down to about 20ft is producing lots of trout and some coho salmon. Fishing the temperature breaks and water color changes out of Duluth has been the ticket. Good times!

Varying winds and big waves on the big lake has us capitalizing on the great walleye bite in the Duluth/Superior harbor! The St Louis River is a fantastic walleye fishery allowing us to target walleyes as they migrate from the river out to Lake Superior using light tackle trolling tactics. This window of opportunity is short, dont miss out! Great opportunity for kids and adults to have some fun aboard Aluminauti!

As the surface temps are approaching 50* we have been seeing the lake trout showing up more and more making the light tackle/surface stickbait bite great! Being able to have good temps near town means less tome running and more time with lines in the water. We are still getting some coho salmon mixed in as well making for great days on the water! Tight lines!

Changing winds have us changing up the programs. Fish are higher in the column than they have been for the couple of weeks. Short leadcores and shallow downriggers with sliders have been productive.
