Right now the Mangrove snapper bite has been very consistent with lot’s of keepers being caught! Fishing for them around structure in the passes, jetties, piers and beaches is a no lose proposition. ??. Bait is varied with live pilchards or scaled sardines and mojarra’s;snapper killers, being used! Live/cut shrimp is deadly on the curious “Mangs” as well! You can bet the snappers will be really active with the strong tides this coming week during the New moon ?!

Pompano are on the move now in the Sarasota area migrating south from northern Florida. The incoming tide is best, especially about an hour before the peak. Cut shrimp on jigs getting it done! Overall, beach fishing has been awesome with many different species being caught from the shore in the last month in a half!
