For two months now, a new season of exciting golden dorado and giant catfish fishing has begun !! We are drifting with live bait. Both in bottom fishing and floating fishing modalities. The preferred baits are: eels and small fish called "sabalitos". The biggest fish, right now, are swimming in deep water.

We continue fishing great Catfish and very good golden gilthead in the Rio de la Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. There are days that are best fished in depth and others that golden browns take bait very well in the afloat lines. We are sailing around an hour. We use eels and some small fish called cascarudos as bait. Usually, we have big hooks in our lines (8/0 or 9/0). Fishing is done by letting the wind and the current push the boat into areas of large banks, crossed by gutters where the smaller fish that serve as food for the larger ones swim. Summer fishing is very good. Some golden dorado and some catfish are the usual fishing these days. It is fished in the float and bottom modalities. We use eels and other small fish as live baits. We usually have to navigate an hour to the points of good fishing.

The weekend we did another good catch of several Catfish. We sail about 50 kilometers and once in the fishing place, we let the boat drift with the wind and the run. We fish with bottom lines and use eels as bait. Some of the catfish came to weigh 20 pounds. We are entering the best time to fish these big silver river. Delta Aventura Captain Mauricio

The highlight of the last weekend. We fished a fighter Surubí, from the catfish family. We use waterline and eel as bait. The fishing area was close to Martín García Island, in the Río de la Plata, 50 minutes from Buenos Aires. This fish gives a hard battle, always swimming to the depths, to try to break free from the hook.
