Found the birds swarming, which in turn, we were are on bait hard and heavy. The resukts were a mixed bag of Coho and Pink salmon. Action is heating up abd August will be on fire for fish catching action in Puget Sound in Seattle!

Sometimes fishing is tough. It was a beautiful day in Seattle with super nice weather, but the fishing was just plain tough. Everyone on the water was struggling. Between 9 different charter operators and even a couple sport vessels I talk to on the water, we basically threw the kitchen sink at them. I was fortunate that my clients landed both fish that hit our gear.

Had no problem putting these clients on Coho this morning. Lost more than we landed.

Did a combo trip today. Coho Salmon and Flounder. Clients landed one salmon each and we shifted to Flounder fishing. We managed to land 6 Coho and lose 4 in just over two hours. Then we put 30 flounder in the box.

About a week ago I needed to film content for a new flasher one of my sponsors has just released. My wife and I went out. We did not start early like most of my salmon trips do. We started at about 11am each day. We were able to limit on resident Coho Salmon and get all of the video and photos we needed for my YouTube channel. The weather is typically pretty nice time of year. I have heard from reliable sources that Pink Salmon have been caught as early as June 7th, which is super early. Typically, that run does not come on string until August 1st.
