The only recommendation I have is to expect some sea sickness if you're prone to that. The water was rough and a few onboard had issues. Even anglers who don't usually have problems did this day.

Take a thick jumper. It was pretty cold on the water. Beautiful winter blue skies, not much wind. Perfect day for finishing.

This isn’t an out to sea trip but rather in the inlets of runaway bay, we caught 4 different species of fish on our trip, a good day out

Definitely go with Top Gun, they are very experienced and knowledgeable, Always were ready to share advice and assist where needed. The new fishers were helped and guided expertly. A great day out.

Take some motion sickness tablets before embarking trip. Possibly a light breakfast. Hats, sunnies, sun screen, fishing gloves, 2nd shirt and a light jacket/raincoat.
Get to a gym to do some weights on your arms and hands.
