Amazing Day Fishing in Puerto Vallarta! Guest review from March 10, 2026 aboard the Itzu: “Between 26–30 fish caught in one trip and nonstop action! We saw schools of fish jumping and feeding everywhere. I’ve been deep sea fishing 8 times before, but nothing compares to this experience. The boat was impeccably clean and the captain and crew were first class all the way. One of us even landed a beautiful roosterfish! A fun day, 6 hours of fishing.

It was a little difficult because the client asked to catch specific fish, roosterfish and African panpano. We insisted a lot, moving from one fishing spot to another, but finally we managed to catch both species we were looking for.

Amazing 8 hours off-shore fishing

An incredible day offshore! We spent 8 hours out on the blue water and the action stayed consistent throughout the trip. We landed several bonitos that kept the rods bending and the energy high on deck. Later in the day, we also hooked into two beautiful casteles, making the trip even more memorable.

I would recommend going for a combo of smaller (for us: Bonita, Spanish Mackerel, Skipjack) and larger (for us: Amberjack) catches. We wanted a fun day and didn't target a larger catch that's harder to target.
