We had shots at 3 Marlin and 1 Mahi. We landed the Mahi and broke off the Blue Marlin estimated at #250 after an hour when we was right next to the boat. Other boats seemed to have done just was well or better than we did.

If staying in the San Jose Del Cabo area there's no need to drive to Cabo San Lucas to go fishing. The SF Del Cabo marina is very close and there's free parking.

Make sure to bring extra drinks and a cooler. only received 2 bottles of water ! A quick mention of where lifejackets are located would have been reassuring, Beware of the fillet station if you do not keep a close eye on them they will do the bait and switch! I regret not mentioning this in my review !

book with ursala IV these guys were top notch anglers!! we would catch a fish and by the time is was landed captain would have bait out and trolling asap!! unbelievable!! best experience ever thanks again!! The crew would always point out the whales and dolphins jumping! also the marlins feeding and jumping out was a real treat

Shop around for fishing licenses or double check in advance if you can purchase them the morning of your trip. We got ripped off and paid over double because the system to purchase them was down in most places issuing licenses

I would pay the additional fee for larger boats and inclusive packages + transfer. I imagine all boats will catch fish, but the peace of mind is worth the additional cost.

Tell the captin what you are after before leaving the marina, ask them what they and other boats have been catching because different fish are better caught in different months of the year.

Find a time when Marlin is in season. Also the boat we had , only had to chairs and they were fishing chairs. no other places to sit comfortably with a back rest.

Great experience. If you are looking for big fish, make sure you look into what time of year is better for bigger fish of the species you are looking for. For example, I wanted a big Roosterfish but a better time of year would be August to October for that species. I was thrilled to catch two though, even though they were smaller!

Bring a windbreaker of some sort that is waterproof, wear crocs or some water safe type footwear. Hat with a way to secure to your head, Sunscreen and chapstick.

First time ocean fishing so fish for something so fish for what the captain recommends
We hooked on to allot of yellowfin and it was great fun they put up a great fight
A whole day trying to catch marlin or mahi mahi and possibly not catch anything can make for a long boring day
