The late-fall bite around Port Canaveral is firing. Tripletail have been stacked on the buoys and any floating structure you can find, with plenty of quality fish and killer sight-fishing windows on the slick-calm days. Redfish action has stayed strong, from slot fish tucked inside to big bulls blowing up along the channel edges and nearshore pockets when the weather lines up. Snook are still chewing way better than they should be this time of year, especially on those hard outgoing tides. And yes—there are still a few tarpon hanging around. Smaller fish inside, and every now and then a beach cruiser shows up to surprise you on a warm, calm day. But the real excitement is what’s coming: December means BLACK DRUM season. Big, moving schools will start sliding into the river and onto the flats, creating some of the best winter sight-fishing of the year. When you find those waves of drum, it’s game on. Overall? The fishing is wide open, and December is shaping up to be straight-up electric.

October is prime time for redfish on the Space Coast, and this month has been delivering some incredible action. The fall mullet run has the fish feeding hard, with big bull reds stacking up in the inlets, channels, and deeper backwaters. Slot-size reds are also active along shorelines, oyster bars, and creek mouths, giving anglers plenty of opportunities throughout the day. We’re finding the best success on natural baits such as live mullet and cut bait. With higher water levels this time of year, the fish push deeper into the mangroves and backwater creeks — but that also gives us more options to stay on the bite. No matter the wind, we’re able to isolate on leeward shorelines and in protected areas where the fish are holding. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to chase redfish, October is hard to beat. The bite is strong, the conditions are right, and now is the time to get in on the action.

September Fishing Report The fall mullet run is here, and it has completely ignited the fishing! Massive schools of bait are pushing through, and behind them are tarpon, snook, and redfish feeding aggressively. This has truly been some of the most exciting action I’ve seen all year. Tarpon have been putting on a show, rolling and crashing bait pods with no hesitation. Snook are stacked up along the beaches, inlets, and jetties, taking advantage of the endless supply of food. Redfish have been just as fired up, hammering baits on the flats and around structure. This is the window we wait for every year, and it’s happening now. From now through November, the fishing will be at its absolute peak. If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the water, now is the time to do it.

August has delivered some incredible fishing, with tarpon action being front and center. From rolling fish along the beaches to explosive eats around the inlets, the silver kings have kept rods bent and anglers grinning. We’ve already hooked into and landed a solid number of fish, with consistent action throughout the week. Big pushes of migrating tarpon are showing along the beaches, in the passes, and staging up in all the right places. We’re seeing large schools rolling at first light, with fish actively feeding and willing to eat. The early morning bite has been electric, especially around clean moving water and the right tide windows. Live bait and well-presented artificials are both getting crushed, and when it happens — it happens fast. These fish are pushing triple digits, and the acrobatics once they’re hooked is something you never forget. This is the real deal — high-energy, high-reward fishing for anglers who want to test their skill and strength. Conditions are lining up beautifully, and everything is pointing toward a strong season ahead. If tarpon have been on your bucket list, now is the time to go all in.

As we close out April here on Florida’s Space Coast, the snook bite is really starting to turn on—and May is shaping up to be even better. These fish are feeding aggressively around mangroves, docks, and deeper troughs, with both live bait and artificials producing solid results. We’ve had some great action lately, and it’s only going to improve as water temps continue to rise. We’ve also been hooking into a few big redfish in the mix, especially around the flats and deeper channels. These bruisers are always a welcome bonus and never fail to put anglers to the test. And of course, we’re keeping a close eye out for the first big pushes of tarpon. A few early arrivals are trickling in, and the real show is right around the corner.
