Fishing season is better in the middle of July than the beginning of July, (early July is too early in the season to catch salmon). It is a beautiful area to fish in. Be sure to dress in layers and bring a sack lunch.

just do what the captain instructs you to do ie; if he tells you it's best to keep the rod in the pole holder then do it and don't hold the rod. thats why you loose fish.
