Central Florida bass fishing is heating up as temps cool down. Fished 20mph winds on the start of a cold front. The bite was on from start to finish. I lost count on on numbers. Sometimes it's not just about the monsters. Solid day of 2-4/5 pounders. Good to see a lot of swelling bellies.

I had the pleasure of taking this family out on Rodman Reservoir. Fishing is heating up as water temps are going down. It was 79 degrees Friday Oct. 6 and with the cold front moving in it should drop more. We started the morning in heavy fog with a steady bite for the first 21/2 hrs of a 4 hour trip then everything went into lockjaw syndrome. Best fish of the day was a solid 6lbs. Plan ahead for dates because bait always gets hard to reserve as anglers flock to Central Florida throughout the peak winter months.

I had the pleasure of taking this fun family from PA on Rodman and it didn't disappoint. January-March rarely does and is a Bass Anglers best time to bust that personal best! The trips Star was this wonderful gal with many fish and as you see some hawgs. Captain Chris Davy

Rodman Reservoir offers World Class bass action and from now till Easter is the prime time for big bass. After a terrible early cold front shutting the fish down a while dropping water temps to the low 50's, temps are back to the mid 60's and the bite is on. Rodman is centrally located near historic St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. Horse people have learned it's close proximity to Ocala Florida as well.

Bass fishing is tougher when temps blaze but, morning trips can still produce hawgs like these from the last 2 trips. Numbers are down from winter averages and the best fishing is for sure first thing in the morning.

Cold windy day on Rodman Reservoir produced a solid catch of 13 bass with one 9lb. Water temp started at 60 and never made it to 63. 20 mile an hour wind so not bad for the conditions.
