Fished downlines and weighted planer boards at 0.4-0.5 sog. Action was steady until around 10:00 when the heat really set in. Blueback Herring was the bait of choice.

The last week Lanier Striper fishing has been amazing for numbers and for size. A mix of baits (Mainly Herring and Minnows) on Flatlines and Planers have been consistent producers. Flatlines 80-100’ behind the boat and 35-45’ behind the planers is what we have been using. Downlines will produce over deeper water in the spread but have been finding some large fish up in shallower water around the mid-lake area. It is Big Fish season on Lanier so give us a call to get out on the water.
