After picking up a few mahi on live bait near a FAD (Fishing Aggregating Device), we headed back toward the harbor to drop off our guest. On the way in, we switched it up — fast trolling at 10 knots with lures. Suddenly, boom — hookup! A fat 100 lb yellowfin smashed the spread, and Mason was loving every second of the fight. A true trophy fish and a moment to remember.

After a slow start to the morning, we managed to land a solid solo wahoo while trolling offshore. Just as we were about to call it a day, I noticed a strong mark on the fishfinder — thought it might be a marlin… but surprise! We hooked into a 100 lb yellowfin tuna in the last 10 minutes. What a way to end the trip — no complaints here! ?

Lines in and almost instantly—hook up! At first it looked like a mahi… but no, it turned out to be a good-sized sailfish! Total surprise and an awesome way to start the day. The guys were blown away by the size and speed. We went 2 for 3 on sails by the end — an unforgettable day! PS no beers before 7AM ;)
