Trip Summary
October and November are great months for Fishing in the Key. most days we are heading out and catching live bait in the morning on the way to the first spot which is called the 409 hump… This place is 700 foot deep but it’s a hill that comes up to 400 feet below the surface. This is great for Tuna amberjack Vermillion, snapper and yellow eye Snapper, as well as a variety of other things that may be there… We typically are aiming for the blackfin Tuna early in the morning and we are looking for mahi- on the way back then we will make our way back to the Reef wrecks . Things that you might find on the Reef and Rex this time of the year are mutton snapper which are the pink ones in the picture as well as king, mackerel, sailfish, yellowtail, snapper, Vermillion, snapper, sharks, and a large variety of other things that you might run into in the shallow or water… It is a transitional time of year, so we are still doing further offshore stuff as well as mixing in the nearshore stuff… Winter time is mostly reef and wreck fishing most of this fishing is done within 8 miles from shore so that means lots of fishing time and less ride time! Book a trip today and get out there and build the experience of a lifetime!
