Exciting news! We’re predicting a BANNER season for Brown Trout fishing in May, thanks to those cold temps and heavy snowpack creating ample run-off and ideal shoreline conditions.
Years ago, excess cold and high snowpacks often lead to stellar spring salmon fishing on the east end, with run-off from the Oswego River keeping some salmon around. Plus, a prolonged warmup of the shoreline waters boosts our brown trout success and lets us stay on the shoreline longer into the season. It’s shaping up to be one of those epic fishing seasons!
