The sheepshead have been filling the cooler this week! They put up a great fight and are even better tasting.

The sheepshead bite was slowing down in the last week or two as water temps rose, but as expected, the recent cold front fired them right back up! Water temps were back down in the 60’s, and like clockwork, these tasty fish were ending up back in our cooler. Book your trip while the bite is still hot!

The past week has been relatively slow inshore. But today it picked up with a mixed bag of Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove and Mutton Snapper, Jacks, and more. When it’s calm enough, we might even sneek outside the jetties to pursue spanish mackerel. Inshore fishing in this area isnt known for filling the cooler with edible fish, and many inshore captains wont even entertain the idea. But here at 1 Fathom Sportfishing, I am always up to the challenge of sending people home with bags of meat. Today we did so successfully.
