FAMILY FISHING FUN

Spent the day doing a “meat run” for some trout and ended the day with a nice box of keepers and a bonus pompano. These fiah were hungry and willing to eat almost anything we threw at them from flukes on a jig head , top water in the morning and love shrimp under a poping cork. I really came down to angler preferance and their confidence in the bait they were throwing.

Got an opportunity to fish with a good friend didnt get a chace to take many photos as this was strictly a fun trip with a lifelong buddy that it had been entirely to longsince we fished together. The trout were were thick in pot holes in the 3-5 ft range with multiple over slot fish hitting the deck. Once we found out limit of slot aizwd trout we moved on to redfish once the tide got high enough. The reds were not as hungry as the trout but did finally decide that they couldnt resist a large shrimp when presented just right.

Busy has been an understatement, i had an awesome husband and wife from mississippi come and fish with me. The tide was extremely slow for most of our trip witch made the fishing tough without much moving water but we were persistent and got in a some practice on some trout while we waited on the tide to finally start moving. Once the water was flowing we moved on to redfish , they both made shkrt work of a couple slot fish and had some large overslot fish give them a food fight until they made it to some nearby rocks and ultimately cut the line. I also got the opportunity to do some fiahing with a long time friend and absolutely wore ourselves out on some hungry redfish. These fish ate anything we threw at them from live shrimp and cut mullet to pinfish and artificials.
