Soanish mackerel are bitting very good right now in the mornings, in about 10-20ft of water look for diving birds feeding on fry and watch for tail flickers out of the water, we have been trolling clarck spoons behind the boat at 7knots with a 4ounce trolling weight and a 3ft leader, once you in a school of them hang on because it gets crazy as all the poles are bound to bend, good luck and tight lines

Morning bite started out strong, winds where out of the south east today, relatively calm till about 9am, the flounder bite was good today using live shrimp on a jiggead around structure, limit on vermilion snapper on cut cigar minnows, and the red snapper bite was on fire with live pinn fish and cigar minnows, all and all the fish where grouping hard around structure

The most consistent bite has been whiting and redfish. Many of the reds are slot fish. The pompano bite has been slow at times. To our West seems to be best. Short rods right off the beach have caught some nice fish. Blanched sand fleas and OP Bait soaked shrimp have been hot. Fishgum and Fishbites have produced as well. Later this week we have a front coming through. Fishing just before it should see an improvement!

It was better here in Bay County earlier in the week. The storm slowed it down and it should improve based on reports to our West. Migrating pompano seem to be small schools and some singles. There are some really good sized ones and some shorts. Redfish are around as well, both slot and overslot. Really scout the structure, (cuts, pockets, etc), to have your best chance. Some whiting are showing as well. Add an unusual number of permit were caught as well!
