Overzicht van de Trip

It's been a phenomenal week of fishing on Jacksonville's inshore waters and the St. Johns River! The intercoastal is teeming with baitfish and all our inshore species have been feeding aggressively. Pictured is Brian Mahoney with one of many hefty redfish caught this week. Catches have included numerous redfish up to 30", flounder, seatrout, black drum, sheepshead, bluefish, ladyfish, spanish mackeral and jack crevalle. It's a great time to get out fishing!

Cruised the beach this week in search of Cobia from St Augustine to Mayport, while the Cobia were not be found, we ran across a school of huge Black Drum. I estimate this one was about 70 lbs, I sure had a hard time lifting it up! It's always fun to get surprised by an unexpected catch and there are alot of different species on the move this time of the year. The waterways are open, let's go fishing!

Winter fishing has been productive but difficult at times due to windy conditions and cold temps. Our 2 week forecast calls for daytime temps to remain above 70 degrees. Water temperatures will begin to rise quickly bringing an increased quantity of bait and hungry predators! Pictured are a couple nice redfish brought to the boat recently on a cooler day. Grab your sunscreen and let's go fishing, spring in Jacksonville Beach rocks!
