Today’s trip was with a fun couple from the UK. Took a little while to find them but nice we did we caught fish on fish very cast. Some big snook and reds. On the way back to the dock we ran into a huge school of giant jacks blowing up on bait so we had to stop and catch a couple. 15 minute fights on light tackle!!!

The nearshore bottom fishing has been incredible for hogfish, mangrove, snapper and grunts! Limits of hogfish have not been uncommon on the all day trips. Lots of big throwback grouper as well.

Had a mangrove snapper smash fest in Tampa bay yesterday with 5 limits of good ones. We threw back 4 times what we kept. Had some throw back grouper and flounder as well!!! Started the day off, catching some snook and redfish. If you’re looking to catch some mangrove snapper and grunts to fill the freezer and not wanting to have to go out in the gulf!
