Cold Front Fishing

Client was looking to catch Redfish so we left the dock and made a run north to an area where I had been seeing very good numbers of Redfish recently. It took a little bit to find the schools of fish but once we did we were able to follow them all morning long catching lots of Reds, as well as some Snook and a few Snapper.

Another great morning charter out of Sarasota. We headed north after leaving the dock and found an area with a large group of juvenile Tarpon rolling along the mangroves. We spent about 30 minutes targeting them but only were able to jump two and they shook the hook both times. So I moved us a little further up the shoreline and started to fish along some structure. For the remainder of the trip we had great action for Redfish, Snook, Flounder and Snappers.

Night fishing can be some of the most fun fishing there is, This trip didn't disappoint at all. We moved south into the famed "Snook Alley" and as we pulled up to the first light we could see over 100 Snook laid up feeding on the outgoing tide, We stayed on that spot for over an hour catching fish after fish. when the bite slowed down finally we moved to another lighted area and caught even more Snook as well as some large Redfish before finally moving to our last stop and caught over 20 Sea Trout that were feeding along a lighted sea wall. This trip was definitely non-stop action and resulted in 2 Inshore Slams (Snook, Trout, and Redfish in one trip).
