Trip Summary

We had a slow start just one bonito and a few muttons off the bottom one of which was a nice keeper. Went offshore and started trolling for mahi but the first fish to hit was a nice sailfish! Finally last few minutes we got a mahi on the line and caught 6 out of the school which three were keepers. It was my first day offshore in over a week due to bad weather and it ended up a success.

Plenty of action on some of everyone's favorites out there. Small schools of mahi move close to the reef this time of year and sailfish as well. We target them with live baits and light tackle for a great feel and a lot of fun!

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.
