Overzicht van de Trip

The Scaled Up was out on the sharking grounds today in search of a threasher, it didnt take long and we were hooked up to an acrobatic fish. It made several jumps which gave the guys some excitement. We had the fish to the boat several times but it wasnt ready to be landed after a half hour battle we finally got the gaff into him and tail roped. The guys went home with a lot of great eating fish.

We had a great groups out this past weekend. Fishing was nonstop as long as you found bait which we did. Both Saturday and Sunday’s trip had large fish , unfortunately no keepers with the new regs but great fights on light tackle.

With seabass closing on the june 19th we have been seeing great trips with seabass, a few limg mixed in and some cod. Seabassing has been excellent.

We are nearing our end of striper season for the Scaled Up then moving down to Shark River for the reat of our season chasing fluke, seabass, and tuna June 1. Fishing has been good in the bay for keeers and overs, we do have nonus tags but haven’t seen many slots in the 24-28” range. We still have some openings so dont wait to long
