Trip Summary

We started out today getting into alot of short king mackerel and a few bonitas but nothing to big so we decided to head far offshore in search of some mahi and after about an hr of running around we found a large school of fish under some weeds and got the spinning rods out and crushed em with live and dead baits both. Alot of fun on light tackle!

Plenty of action on some of everyone's favorites out there. Small schools of mahi move close to the reef this time of year and sailfish as well. We target them with live baits and light tackle for a great feel and a lot of fun!

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.

As the days get warmer the action close to the reef continues to improve. Alot of our catch comes from 80-120' of water which is just over a mile offshore. Take advantage of this time of year to get in on the action!
